Bio:  Larry Douziech is a Los Angeles-based modern orchestral composer whose work has appeared in feature films, animation, national commercials, various record albums, and podcasts.

He studied Jazz and was formally trained in film scoring, composition, and conducting at The Dick Grove School of Music, and had numerous scores performed by local jazz ensembles all over the city.

As a composer, Larry is dedicated to true collaboration and supporting the emotional experience of the audience by interpreting the essence of a scene into a unique sonic landscape, from classical compositions to epic 100-piece or single-instrument orchestral arrangements.

Larry’s music would be best described as very emotional and complex, going from a simple melody to two or three counter melodies, blended all together to form a unique tapestry of musicality. Larry’s style is characterized by his ability to create tension and suspense through his music.

He often uses instruments like the hurdy-gurdy, the waterphone, the duduk , and even the countra- bass flute to create unique and haunting sounds. He often begins experimenting with different instruments and sounds until he finds the perfect combination to create the desired emotional response for the project. Larry also enjoys blending electronic music with orchestral in order to achieve that special sound for the main title or for that chase scene.
